Manning now is nolonger kept in ISOLATION and continually humiliated, in his cell. He is allowed to read and write, and spend time with other prisoners.
The next step will be several months of pretrial activity and the the trial at Fort Belvedere in Maryland. Typically these pre-trials hearings and proceedings are open to the public. Since the treatment Bradley Manning has already has received has already exceeded all normal standards, its entirely possible than the "norms" may not be observed.

Danniel Ellsberg and Julian Assange also appeared at the press conference. Danniel Ellsberg pointed one of the significant misstatements of the President when he spoke of the WIKILEAKS documents, as "worse than The Pentagon Papers". Ellsberg reminded us that since he was the one who was charged with releasing them. These documents were classified, as TOP SECRET. The "WIKI-LEAKS" documents were only classified as "SECRET".

So to make the world safe for these republican(corporatists) and their lobbyist cronys they've begun holding their "public" meetings in "private" locations, front of screened carefully selected handpicked audiences. NO FREE THINKERS or INDEPENDENTS, of dissenters allowed.
Gov. Scott just held a budget signing in a hand picked audience of tea-party sycophants. Anyone displaying any buttons or t-shirts suggesting a difference with the PRO-CORPORATIST Agenda was scrubbed from the "PRIVATE MEETING" of the Governor's signing ceremony.
